Old track re-released

On my Music page there are a few tracks that are unavailable because I lost them for X reasons. My sister told me that she has one of my missing tracks and sent it to me, yayness! As I was updating the page I decided to add the corresponding years to my album releases. I can’t believe it’s been 6 years since I first released a track.

Searching for my old album information around the net to confirm it, I came across 3 photos from my first performance that I posted to my facebook page, one of them seen here on the left. I haven’t had the desire to create new tracks yet, I’ve written some lyrics here and there but I’ve taken a step back from music production and I’ve been concentrating on other things.

I hope to create a set some day and perform my own music but I don’t see that happening in the near future. In the meantime I’ve been invited to perform my collaboration track with Dacaboya again during the summer. It’s not a confirmed appearance yet but I’m certainly interested.

It’s been a while since I update my Music page but the day has finally come. I just finished posting all my albums and DJ mixes in glorious LoFi. I have bad news though, there are a few tracks that for some reason or other I no longer have. If anyone has them, please send me a copy. I’ve given away lots of music to people and my hard drives have been reformatted several times.

It’s a weird and pleasant experience listening to my songs again. I can tell which moment I conceived the song and what inspired each one. It’s been quite a journey, let’s see when I’ll take up creating music again.

Improvisational music

Today I was playing around with my microKORG synth after a long time and the inspiration of recording something improvisational resurfaced. It’s been a depressing rainy day so the atmosphere was just perfect for creative collaboration. We decided that whatever we were going to do, it would be made from scratch, recorded live and as is. A few drinks, a microKORG and an Electribe MX-1, and this is the result:

I was so excited about my last song Stitches that I uploaded it too quickly. Today I sat down and worked on it a bit more. I knew that it had a few mistakes and that it should have been more refined. I admit it, I was sloppy. But there’s always time to redeem myself. So I hope you like the sloppy-less version.
