Vacation
Five young college students that are on vacation are on their way to a lodge by the river to spend their summer there. Three girls and two guys, the guys are in the front of the car and the girls in the back.
Helen, Cindy, and Rebecca are making fun of Trey and Parker. They giggle nonstop while the guys ignore them and talk about other stuff. On the way to the lodge, they accidentally hit a deer. Luckily, the deer wasn’t hurt, but the same couldn’t be said about Parker. He hit his head with the side of the window and broke his nose. He fell loosely back to his seat. Helen screamed. “Oh my god, Parker are you ok!?” Parker didn’t answer. Trey was a life guard back in high school, so he knows basic first aid. He checked Parker’s pulse and then looked at the girls. “He’s dead.” Trey says with tears in his eyes.
Rebecca asks “What are we going to do?”
Cindy says “We should take him to the police”
With a saddened face Trey agrees with Cindy. They reach a police station and tell the officers what happened. The officers take a look at the body. They tell Trey not to worry; the police will handle the situation. Two morgue officers came and took away the body. Rebecca gives the officers all of Parker’s belongings and personal information. An hour later, they reach the lodge. Rebecca is the first to go in. She walks to the living room and the wooden floor caves in. She screams and falls on the broken floorboards. Helen heard the screams and goes inside to check out what happened. When she sees Rebecca, Helen runs to get Trey.
“Trey, Rebecca’s dead.” Helen says, sobbing. She shows Trey and Cindy where Rebecca fell and they see the cause of her death; a piece of broken floorboard sticking out of her chest. Cindy called 911, told the operator what happened, and in thirty minutes an ambulance came to pick up Rebecca’s body. When the ambulance left, Trey told the girls to get some rest. “We’ll leave first thing in the morning.”
Helen tries to go to sleep. She manages to rest a while but in the middle of the night she opens her eyes. She sees Cindy on the ceiling. “Cindy?” Helen asks. Cindy’s blonde hair and sapphire blue eyes turn pale white. Her hair and skin turn whiter than paper. Helen tries to scream but realizes quickly that no sound comes out of her mouth. She slowly whispers “It was you who killed them.”
Cindy lets herself go and falls on Helen. Helen screams while Cindy absorbs her so called friend’s body. Trey walks in and sees what Cindy is doing. Cindy stands up and floats towards Trey. Helen suddenly wakes up.
She walks to the living room feeling somewhat disturbed by her dream. Everyone is gathered at the table, playing cards and making jokes. They all look at Helen and smile, and then keep on playing. Cindy looks at Helen and asks “What’s wrong? Did you have a bad dream? Cindy’s eyes turn white for a second, and then go back to being blue.
