Mobile theme

I finally got around to customizing a mobile theme for my site. I installed Smooci 2 and edited it to my liking. My site looks fine as is on my smartphone but a mobile version is better for reading most posts. I do get enough site traffic to justify having a mobile theme. My recipe posts are among the most visited. The link is now in the footer.

If anyone has any idea on how
to correctly align the Facebook Like button, let me know. Everything I tried doesn’t work.

Comments and Likes

Minor updates to the site:

The Like button on some pages was linking to the same post on Facebook. I manually fixed that so now when you click on the Like button it should link to the correct page, thanks for pointing that out Steve.

I enabled comments on a few pages: Poems, Short Stories, Music, and Video.

I have a few minor things left to do that I’ll get around to eventually but that’s it for now.

“All” my music is up

It’s been a while since I update my Music page but the day has finally come. I just finished posting all my albums and DJ mixes in glorious LoFi. I have bad news though, there are a few tracks that for some reason or other I no longer have. If anyone has them, please send me a copy. I’ve given away lots of music to people and my hard drives have been reformatted several times.

It’s a weird and pleasant experience listening to my songs again. I can tell which moment I conceived the song and what inspired each one. It’s been quite a journey, let’s see when I’ll take up creating music again.

Tumblr no more

As much as I liked tumblr, it didn’t make sense for me to keep an account there since I already own a self-hosted blog that’s pretty socially connected. I deleted my tumblr account on impulse but saved most of the posts to html using a nifty export script. I might add them to my site but I might not. So just in case you click on something that was hosted on tumblr and get an error, now you know why.

It was silly of me I know, but I was angry at the time. Sometimes having too many accounts to keep up with is a hassle so I kept the most essential. I also deleted my Blogger blog, all the posts I had there were already imported anyway. No need for duplicates.

“I love your teenage poetry”

Do you like awful and depressing teenage poetry? You do? Then I have good news for you. My poems section mostly consists of bad gothic poetry written when I was 14 or 15 years old. Don’t believe me? Read for yourself.

Now you can use the Facebook Like button to share with your friends my questionable writing. You know you want to. You don’t? Oh well, you need new friends then.

FYI: The post title is a reference to a John B song.
