When you’re looking for a job, you don’t go out dressed as a hobo unless you’re auditioning for that part in a movie. You also don’t turn in a bland piece of paper with your skills and experience on it because it will most likely be overlooked. Most of the times résumés aren’t even looked at, so you need something eye-popping to make an employer at least glance it. When you’re updating your résumé it’s important to research the kind of job you’re looking for because not all résumés are written the same way although they all follow more or less the same structure. Reading up on some resume tips can help you in a great way because once you have everything neatly organized and well written, you can focus on bringing that text to life.

Here’s a simple looking résumé template. It’s mostly black and white with lines and squares arranged here and there to create an eye-catching design that focuses on the content. I was looking at website templates and came across a layout that I thought looked pretty cool and decided to make a resume that emulated a personal website. I made a few variations of it and presto! An awesome looking résumé was born. I was going to put it on ThemeForest but decided to offer it on my website instead.

Details:

- To edit the template you need Adobe Photoshop
- The .psd is in standard paper size and CMYK for easy printing and converting to .pdf
- The font is included
- All files are compressed in a .zip
- You will receive the file once I confirm payment and your email address
- If you want it customized, contact me with details of what you’re looking for
- Recommended printing paper: Brochure paper, Semi-glossy presentation paper, laminated card stock, or anything similar, ask a sales associate at your local office supply store.
