Overfed

July 22. 2009, under News with No Comments

Due to some changes I’ve done to the site the RSS feed was polluted with entries that shouldn’t have been there. I was testing feed integration with twitter and tumblr. Everything is now organized correctly. I’ve created 2 feeds, one for site updates (news) and the other for blog/microblog entries (twitter, tumblr, blip.fm etc. all in one).

The homepage now shows the most recent updates and there’s a follow button on the header to subscribe to the news feed. In the Blog section you’ll see my latest tweets and tumblr posts. To subscribe just click on the follow button in the blog header.

What I did was import my twitter feed to my tumblr log and then import the tumblr feed to wordpress. It was a nightmare trying to integrate my tweets to wordpress, I had to manually edit the titles of each and every one of them. It’s a good thing it was a only a few of them. Now I can just use Twitter Tools to import all my tweets in a daily digest.

The follow button only shows up in the homepage and the blog page, but you can also find the RSS feed link in the footer. If you want to follow me on twitter, tumblr, blip.fm, etc. check the Links page to see where I have profiles.
