From a designer’s point of view

I’ve always been into symbols so it’s no suprise that I find the Presbyterian cross interesting from a designer’s point of view. It incorporates so many symbols in one clean cut design.
Open book representing the bible
Descending dove
Pulpit
Flames
The flames form an implied triangle representing the Holy Trinity
Fish and chalice
It’s amazing how they took a celtic cross reference design and molded it into what it is. I was thinking about this on Sunday while my mother gave her sermon:
Like I said, I’m a fan of symbols.
