Minor tweaks
I’ve been making minor changes here and there on the site, mostly for navigation and aesthetics. I’ve added tags to every post to sort them in their categories. News posts are tagged accordingly with: updates, photos, stories, poetry, music, and News.
For example: Every post that is a site update will be tagged with updates and if it includes media such as photos or music, it will include that additional tag. It makes it easier to browse the archive if you want to look for all posts that include the music tag.
All Blog posts have also been tagged with any of the following: photos, video, twitter, quote of the day, and blog. Each blog post only has one tag.
For example: If I posted a youtube video filed under Blogr, it will have the video tag. If I wrote an entry about whatever it is I felt like writing, it will have the blog tag.
Now when you click on the title of any post you will see the post, the category it’s filed in, and the corresponding tags (click on the tag link and you’ll see all posts filed under that tag). You will also see a new item on the left menu, the Archives link under Home. There, all posts are organized in Tags, Category, and Monthly.
All of these small changes are meant for a better browsing experience. I just think it’s easier to just see all posts that have photos in them by browsing the photo tag archive. Don’t you agree?
Update: I changed the header icon, now it changes to 1 of 4 images depending on the page you’re browsing.
